The purpose of the Finance Ministry is to oversee, account for and provide direction in the finances of the local church. It is the responsibility of the Finance Ministry to develop the operational budget of the church; develop revenue generating plans that support the budget; and administer funds as directed by church council.
The Finance Ministry keeps records of the contributions and income of the church. The Finance Ministry is responsible for the disbursements of funds for expenses and upkeep of the church. The Finance Ministry is also charged with informing and educating the congregation regarding the financial status of the church in addition to making sound recommendations that are in the churches best fiscal interest.
